Botdog Has a New Home and the Product You Love Is Getting Even Better

Big changes deserve a straight-up conversation, so here it is: Botdog has been acquired by Scale Shift Ventures!

Before anything else, we want to say the product is continuing. And what comes next is genuinely the most ambitious chapter in Botdog's history.

Here's everything you need to know.

The Full Story of How Botdog Got Here

We think this moment is a good opportunity to share something that hasn't always been front and centre: Botdog was founded by Robin Choy and Guillaume Miara. They were the architects of this business; the ones who took the founding risk, made the key strategic decisions, and built the infrastructure that made Botdog what it is today.

Nick Frost joined as an integral team member, assuming the roles of product and content lead; the voice you've come to know, the person who's been in your corner talking through features, listening to feedback, and sharing tips on how to get the most out of Botdog.

That creator-operator structure, with Robin and Guillaume building the engine while Nick ran the product experience, is what made Botdog work so well for so long.

Why Scale Shift Ventures

Scale Shift isn't a passive owner. They acquire products they believe in and then get to work building them out. For Botdog, that means the features and capabilities that have been on the roadmap, and on your wish list, are now going to move faster.

More engineering. More product investment. A team built around what Botdog users actually need.

The core promise stays the same: helping you show up consistently and effectively on LinkedIn without it taking over your life. That's not changing. It's getting sharper.

What This Means for You

  • Your account, data, and subscription are unaffected. Nothing changes on your end today.
  • Nick is staying. Same voice, same commitment to honest product communication, same openness with the community.
  • More is coming. The roadmap is accelerating and you'll be hearing about what's ahead each step of the way.

We know change can feel uncertain, even when it's a good change. We're committed to keeping you in the loop every step of the way; just as we always have.

If you have questions, Nick's DMs are open. That's never changed and it's not changing now.

Thanks for being part of this community. The best is ahead.
