Unread replies: one per person, and they clear once you read them
We fixed an issue where one reply could appear several times in the Unread card on your dashboard, sometimes under slightly different names.
It could also remain marked as unread even after you had opened the conversation.
When this happened
This could happen when the same person was included in more than one of your campaigns.
For example:
- The contact had been uploaded through several lists
- Their single reply appeared once for each campaign they belonged to
- Different imported names could appear, such as Will in one campaign and Will Callaghan in another
- Reading the conversation could clear only one campaign entry, leaving the others behind
What changed
Each person now appears only once in the Unread and Warm leads cards.
Botdog shows their latest message and their LinkedIn name, matching what you see in the Unified Inbox.
Reading or replying to a conversation now clears the unread status everywhere that person appears, including when you open it from:
- The dashboard
- Contacts
- Unified Inbox
Your daily unread email and the Respond to your messages reminder now also count people instead of counting the same person once for every campaign.
The names you originally imported have not changed. They are still used in your campaign messages and contact lists.
Nothing was ever sent or received more than once. The duplicate entries only affected these dashboard lists. Your Unified Inbox already showed each conversation once.
