Follow-up messages after a voice message are no longer skipped

Follow-up messages after a voice message are no longer skipped screenshot

We fixed an issue where campaigns with a voice message could stop before the remaining follow-up steps were sent.

If a campaign sent a voice message and had another message later in the sequence, the next step could be skipped with the reason User/lead active in chat, even when neither you nor the lead had touched the conversation.

What was happening

Before sending a follow-up, Botdog checks the LinkedIn conversation to make sure the lead has not replied and that you have not taken over the conversation manually.

Because voice messages do not contain text, Botdog could not always recognise your own voice message in the conversation. It could then incorrectly treat it as new manual activity and stop the sequence.

As a result, the remaining campaign steps would not run.

What changed

Campaigns with a voice message step now continue through the rest of the sequence as expected.

The existing protection has not changed. If the lead replies, or you send a message manually, Botdog will still pause the follow-ups so automation does not interrupt an active conversation.

There is nothing you need to update. Existing campaigns are covered automatically.

Leads whose sequences had already stopped because of this issue will not resume automatically.
