We've fixed imports that stopped after the first few contacts

We fixed an issue that could cause a People Search import to fail after bringing in only the first few contacts.

In some cases, you might ask Botdog to import hundreds of contacts, but the import would stop after the first page, often around 10 people.

What was happening

LinkedIn has recently started returning less information for some people.

Some contacts may now arrive without details Botdog previously expected, such as information about how you are connected to them.

If just one contact on a page was missing one of those details, Botdog could reject the entire page and stop the import.

What changed

People Search imports now keep going even when some contact details are missing.

  • A contact with partial information is still imported using the details that are available
  • A contact is skipped only when there is no usable profile to link to
  • One unusual contact no longer stops the rest of the page from importing
  • The import continues through every available page

If one of your previous imports failed this way, you can resume it from where it stopped.

Botdog will continue from the next contact instead of importing the same people again.
