We've fixed webhook alerts going missing when they arrive close together

We fixed an issue where some webhook alerts could be missed when the same contact triggered similar events close together.

A common example was when someone replied with a quick Hi and then sent their full message a few seconds later. The first reply could trigger an alert, while the second one was quietly skipped.

What changed

Every reply now gets its own webhook alert, even when several arrive only seconds apart.

The same improvement applies when:

  • Different campaign steps send messages to the same contact
  • A contact triggers multiple alerts of the same type close together
  • The tool receiving your webhook is temporarily unavailable and Botdog is retrying delivery

Previously, new alerts triggered during a retry period could also be lost for up to 30 minutes.

No extra setup needed

You do not need to change anything.

Botdog will still prevent true duplicates, so the exact same event is only sent once.

If you use webhook alerts for reports or automations and your numbers previously looked slightly lower than expected, they should now be more accurate.
